Hello All!

I was watching some old you tubes of Miki when she was with Sato and was amazed to see how differently she skated then. Whatever caused her to leave him? My guess would be to get away from the Japanese media..

Specifically though, how did she come to be coached by Carol Heiss Jenkins? Its not like she was particularly well known/successful coach at that time.

It seems that the japfed has an unusually hands on involvement, and after nagao and slc they decided to send their top skaters to us coaches... Shiz to Callaghan and miki to heiss... Not sure why not Wagner, but Carroll and nicks already had top skaters.
