I wonder if they track incremental ticket sales after each announcement.
Seattle's ballet company always has early renewals, with just a few highlights scheduled for the next season. They can tell by how many people renew before the full season is announced who is there to see the company, either no matter what they perform or assuming that there won't be major changes.

Weaver & Poje just confirmed via twitter that they have been added to this year's CSOI as full cast members!!![]()
why no montreal stop this year??
I sent SOI and email asking them to bring Patrick Chan as a guest skater. He will be in Toronto on May 6th for a function and our show is May 4th.
Last year we were shortchanged when the WC ended up on the same day as SOI.
From Tina at Kurtlist just now:
"Oh wow. They just announced that the cast includes Virtue & Moir, Weaver & Poje, Davis & White, Jeremy Abbott and Ashley Wagner! So we get three dance teams in Canada! And the top US skaters in 3 disciplines. Quite the lineup! I honestly don't know why the US tour doesn't just move to after Worlds...they clearly would have a bigger pick of skaters if they did!
Tina"
WOW, indeed.
March 12 press release: http://www.starsonice.ca/news-mar12-12.php:
Meryl & Charlie, the 2011 Ice Dancing World Champions, will meet up with the Tour in Ontario for the Hamilton, Toronto, and London performances in May.
I envy those who can see the tour.
Too bad they aren't coming West, but at least we get Weaver and Poje.

Just to be clear, the SOI Canada website mentions D/W at three shows only - Toronto, Hamilton and London, so they seem to be guest performers.
I'm hoping we get one of the top Japanese skaters in the west.
That would be great!

Seriously, Davis and White!?!! Just when I thought the cast list couldn't get any better. I can't believe that I almost didn't buy tickets this year.
I kind of wish the Kerrs were on the Canadian tour but doesn't look like there will be room for them.
The Canadian tour is sooooo much better (at least cast-wise) than the USA tour.

There is a show in Ottawa on April 29.
