I'll add Gordi Pots. His mom was a single skater before becoming a pairs skater with his dad.

Yes. She's 10 years old and her mother is French ice dancer Caroline Douarin. She won Group B of the Pre-Juvenile Girls Free Skate at 2011 Liberty (video linked in the post above):

German elite singles skater, Julia Pfrengle, is the daughter of Claudia Leistner, many-times Worlds & Euros contender (including Euro champ in '89). The father was a West German pairs champ.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julia_Pfrengle

Julia was 10th at the 2010 Jr Worlds and 3rd in Sr Nationals. She seems to have been off last season (2010/11) due to injury but I see that she's on the roster for this season's Sr Nationals, coming up later this week. Good luck, Julia!

Does anyone know if Germany's Sandy Hoffmann (at recent jr g-p event in Milan and jr g-p Lake Placid in 2009) is related to the famous (some say 'infamous') skater-then-judge Jan Hoffmann? Both seem to be from the same Dresden-Chemnitz area of Germany....so maybe they are? Sandy was born in April 1993.

'Hoffmann' is a somewhat common name, I realize...

I heard she was going to college. Did she take up another sport or will she just be studying?

Katia Shpilband (2009 US Intermediate Ladies Champion) is the daughter of Igor Shpilband. This year, she finished 10th/12 on the Junior level at Eastern Sectionals.

From the above excerpt, it sounds like Mrs. Czisny skated recreationally as an adult at least, but I don't recall reading anything online about her being an adult competitive skater.

Is there anything on Mrs. Czisny on
Here are three examples of young competitive skaters -- the children of accomplished skater parents -- who qualified for and competed in the US Junior (Intermediate/Juvenile level) Nationals last month...

1992 Olympic gold medalist ice dancers Sergei Ponomarenko and Marina Klimova have a 10-year-old son, Anthony Ponomarenko, who finished 5th in Intermediate Dance with his partner (Feng/Ponomarenko also won the U.S. Juvenile Dance bronze last year).

Isabelle Brasseur (of the 1993 World and 5-time Canadian pair champs Brasseur/Eisler) and Rocky Marval (of the 1992 & 1993 US pair champs Urbanski/Marval) have an 11-year-old daughter, Gabriella Marvaldi, who won the Juvenile Pairs title.

Maxim Naumov, the 10-year-old son of 1994 World pair champs Vadim Naumov and Evgenia Shishkova, placed 7th in the Juvenile Boys final round.
Is there any other on-line Skating Profile for Mrs. Czisny other then what has been found?

This isn't figure skating, but Caydee Denney's dad (or maybe both parents?) was a competitive artistic roller skater.

    From http://figureskating.teamusa.org/athletes/caydee-denney:

    How it began
Denney began skating at age 9 after switching from roller skating to ice skating and was the national juvenile roller singles champion and national elementary pairs roller champion. Her younger sister Hayden is also a pairs skater and both of Denney's parents were roller skating national champions.

    From http://web.icenetwork.com/skaters/de...d=39131&mode=P:

Both parents were national and world champion roller skaters; father placed third in senior men's singles at the 1984 World Championships ...

Here's another excerpt about the Denney parents from a Tampa story written just before the 2010 Olympics http://www.tampabay.com/features/hum...cle1071094.ece:

"Bryan and DeeDee Denney hold a dozen national and world roller skating titles between them. They had their tiny blond daughter on wheels as soon as she could walk."
