    Siku is Unbearly Cute

So I've watched this like twelve times and just had to introduce people to Siku. Anyone besides me think that the people getting paid to look after are really lucky.

A polar bear cub has been taken into care in Denmark after his mother did not produce enough milk.

Siku was born last month at the Scandinavian Wildlife Park in Denmark.

For the first year of his life he will need 24-hour attention and three people have been given the job of looking after him.

I want to thank you Lord for being with me so far this day. With your help, I have not been inpatient, lost my temper been grumpy or envious of anyone. But I will be getting out of bed in a minute and I think I will really need your help then. Amen

I saw the video the other day and almost died from jealousy of the caretakers. Hell, if I could make a living and get good benefits working at the local doggie daycare, I would.

Incredibly cute is right -- but anyone else get nervous at letting a cub who can roll around as quickly as that be on a tabletop?

Siku made a live appearance on the Today Show this morning. He is thriving but his caregivers are losing sleep keeping up with his feeding schedule They assured Matt Lauer that he would not suffer the same fame as the famous Knut who died at age 4. He will be kept under different conditions (a very large enclosure with other bears, not in a zoo). He will serve as the mascot of his wild cousins to remind people that the sea ice (the meaning of his name) is disappearing due to the way humans are abusing the earth and this is impacting the wild polar bear population.
Can't skate but love to watch

I watched the Today interview and Siku was the cutest thing ever. He was feeding and making all kind of cute noises. I hope he has a loooooong life.
