    Katherine Heigl: 'I hate balls'

Have you seen her but spot-on PSA for pet neutering? ihateballs.com Heigl quips about her work with the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, promoting animal causes - specifically neutering.

"A lot of people say to me 'Katherine, you promote neutering so much, you must really love animals' and I'm like 'Yea [shrugs], they're okay I guess,'" she says.

"But the real reason I'm so pro-neutering is... I hate balls."

Heigl goes on to explain that she does not mean tennis balls or yoga balls but male testicles, "terrible, terrible testicles."

The melodramatic, tongue-in-cheek PSA is complete with string quartet background music, as Heigl strolls through a studio.

"Won't you join me in this quest?" she asks. "Balls are... [choking] Oh, God, I'm sorry."
Miss Heigl's stock is definitely trending upward in Beefy realm. (Hopefully, the quality of her movie projects will begin trending upward, as well.)

    HAHAHA!

Off topic, but this reminds me of my office's Christmas ugly sweater contest last year. The girl who won wore a sweater pinned with about 30 to 40 big colorful glass balls. She looked like a X-mas tree.

The winner announcement went something like: "She who has the most and biggest balls won!!!". The winner girl stood there and all happy and the runner up girl said something like: "I always knew I hated balls!" The rest of us all laughed till we couldn't breathe.

My sister LOVES Katherine Heigl and her lame chick flicks. I just told her that she's alright in my book too now.

    That is hysterical.

The only thing I've tolerated her in was The Ugly Truth. That was a hysterical film... the rest, blech!

I thought from the title that she had decided to do some more dissing of Knocked Up as being a sexist film (which she apparently didn't manage to notice when she read the script or agreed to be in it).

Although this is probably not her fault either, it looks like One for the Money, the film of the first Stephanie Plum novel, is going to be a total rom-com, which is wrong wrong wrong. Film poster here:

When did Stephanie ever look that glam or polished? Sigh.

I had to read this thread with a title like that. Pleased that she supports such a good cause.

The first time I saw an ad for those I was just...why? No, really, WHY?!?

I've had...let's see...three male dogs , two male indoor cats, one male outdoor cat not counting my parents' barn cats (because I can't, I forget how many there've been), and three male horses, all of whom were or are lacking those pieces of their anatomy. I really don't think they even realize anything's gone. If they had "Neuticles" it would probably just horribly confuse them.

Neuticles allows your pet to retain his natural look, self esteem and aids in the trauma associated with altering
I'm guilty as can be when it comes to anthropomorphism.

But this is really going too far.

I'm torn between hating balls and wanting my dog to be a proud, aesthetically balanced, and emotionally adjusted beast.

So I gave my boy Whippet a pair of 'Rottweiler DD'* neuticles for his birthday.

Hubba hubba. Suffice it to say, he's neuly very popular at the dog park.

*(the DD stands for "Dayum Dawg!")
