    Favorite TV Themes from Yesteryear

Don't know if this has been done, but let's give it a shot: Favorite TV themes that some might not be familiar with, from yesteryear. Two of my favorites from British TV are (and please give links), The Persuaders http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t99QQIXez4M and The Sweeney http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuaXBH2-d0c . Love to know what's out there from Russian or European TV.

Although totally not a favourite. This one from my country is unique to say the least.

Not terribly unknown, but I always liked the theme from "Hawaii Five-O"
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwhvByj8YG8

(I also think it would work for a SP, maybe for one of the men)

This isn't really from yesteryear, but I always liked the theme from the TV series Third Watch (a show I loved until the last couple of seasons when it became too much of a soap opera )

It's actually taken from the song Keep Hope Alive by The Crystal Method.

I'd forgotten how much I loved Roswell until I watched that video. I sense a Roswell marathon coming on during Christmas break. Thanks for the reminder!

I don't know anyone who grew up in the 90s who doesn't know all the words to the Saved By The Bell theme song.

And those of us who grew up in the 60s know all the words to the "Mr. Ed" theme song.

For anyone who was a tween/teen in the 60's (and even in the 70's), this one (opening and closing credits) is unforgettable:

So which one did you have a crush on?. Admit it, you had to have liked one (or more) of the cast .

I always thought Dido's song fit perfectly with the theme of the series. Can't believe this show premiered over 10 years ago.

I'm an 80's kid, so I'm a big sap for all the cheesy 80s sitcom theme songs. These are probably well-known to most, but they're still my favorites even now:

I've always wondered why no one ever skated to the theme from McGyver. They could have had duct tape on their costume. And a safety pin.

Why does no one ever think of the voids?

Back in the 60's, I always liked Mickey the best, but I've now switched to Peter!

My older cousin was madly in love with Davey Jones. She would get as close to the television as she could get and pretend that we was singing just to her...
