The dance programs are way ahead of the Wii. You have to move your whole body. And the athletic type games are great too. We haven't found a game yet that has my gamer son enthused to play, but my teen daughter and I love it.
The only caveat I'd have, is to make sure you have enough space in your room.

It was a great family game for us at a big party last year. One of my grandsons, 4 at the time, was doing I think it was called Dance Party vs my 66 year old brother, it was hysterical, and the 4 year old won!
