Does she still go by Kimmie? She's got to be in her early twenties by now?

I always get impression from her interviews that she actually would love to be back on the competitive ice! While training for Vancouver she got back her triple axel and it was a fall on that jump that destroyed her knee and prevented from competing. Nevertheless, even if she recovers, it will be extremely difficult for her to get back to shape. I wish her all the best and would love the see her in competiton again.

If anyone is interested, here are my videos with her:

Currently, KM has no plans to return to competition. She is working on her triples in order to perform them in shows, and because she LOVES to jump!

She will do a brief Canadian tour in December, and an official you tube channel is in the works. Hopefully it will be available soon (January)!

Just saw a little clip of her and she looks soooooooo improved from the last time I saw her skate. She did a credible 2a with nice runout. More than anything else, her fitness seems much improved.

I think Kimmie's style is comparable to that of Flatt's.

Except she said in that interview that she's competitive. (Which is what confused me. )

I don't think doing a few jumps over the course of several numbers is "competitive". It's fine for a show program but it's far from being competitive with elite athletes qualifying for ISU championship events.

I don't think she meant that her current technical content was "competitive" with some of the best in the world--that she has a competitive personality/nature. We did all see what a steely competitor she was up through 2006 Worlds.

Just because she says she's "competitive" doesn't mean that she's returning to competition. An earlier poster (choreographer) seems to know Kimmie in some capacity and says she's practicing to be in shows. And it sounds to me like she's on the right track in getting some skills back and I really hope I get to see her in something soon.

But surely that's beside the point. Alive or dead, he's still Johnny Cash
Nice to see Kimmie skating and happy again. I'm not sure what else she could have done jumpwise on that teeny tiny ice. Double axel looked solid

But the question was "how old is he?" Once you are dead, you can't ask that question.

Well, one can ask ... There just isn't really an answer.
Unless of course you mean the dead person can't ask. In that case you are correct.

Johnny Cash was 71 when he died.
    Johnny Mathis is 76.
    Jimmy Carter is 87.

I think they had to call her Kimmie because the only other alternative to Kimberly is Kim. It would be hard to try to say KimmmmmMeissner.

Why does every Kimmie Meissner thread always have to include someone belly-aching about her name?
