That's awesome - love the B&W portrait and the style of their wedding clothes.

    The dress is lovely.
I don't care for the headpiece.

Love the dress and the headpiece. Very much like the queen mother when she was Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.

OK, I understand her famous connections. But, she's got a well-known reputation as a model in her own right, and I find it strange that this entire article manages to never mention it.

Ralph Lauren's daughter sure got the pretty in the family.

I guess when you are marrying into Ralph Lauren's family, the dress kind of HAS to be spectacular (and I definitely saw shades of the Duchess of Cambridge's gown in the lace/long sleeves.) LOVE the dress. The headpiece is not to my taste, but it looks very nice on her.

Love his boots! (for the record-my dress shoes are cowboy boots. Well, actually, so are my casual shoes)

Lauren's grandparents, former President George H.W. Bush and former first lady Barbara, we unable to attend because of the high-altitude
Wow, so they held the wedding in a place where they knew her grandparents couldn't attend? Odd.

Maybe they didn't realize that the altitude would pose a problem when they made plans for the wedding to be at the Lauren ranch?

The dress is spectacular. Love the headpiece too, but think the hairstyle was all wrong for it.

Her grandmother hates her mother, so they were probably all looking for an excuse for them to stay away.

    Is Neil the divorced one?

And I actually do buy the health reasons--IIRC Barbara Bush has been hospitalized in the last year, and GHWB looks really frail. Might have been unless the wedding was right in Texas it just wasn't going to be feasible. He and Jimmy Carter have both been looking rather elderly (and given the rest of their political generation is dropping like flies, I guess that's not surprising...)
