My daughter won last year with a Christmas-themedgrandma sweater from Salvation Army, tricked out with a set of battery-operated Christmas lights fromthe Dollar Tree and cheap ball ornaments sewn all over the place. Cost us less than $5 total.

Cut out a picture of a sweater from a newspaper ad and pin it on the front of your shirt with thumb tacks (thumb part on the inside, points sticking out.)

Brian, I wish I lived closer to you! My Mom tends to find the tackest sweaters to give me ever Christmas. I have about 10 in my closet (she comes over to feed the cats when I am gone). So I have to keep them.

you could also wear it at your next skating event![]()
I can't believe I forgot to come back and post. I went to a local thrift store and found an entire rack of Christmas sweaters. There was an absolutely hideous vest and had to get it. I didn't want a sweater since it could very well be warm and muggy in Louisiana on the night of the party. A vest will also be different from everyone else. Will post a pic when I get a chance, maybe when I get back home later in the week.

Watching the morning news today, supposedly this is a hot trend right now. Ugly Christmas Sweater parties. Thrift stores are seeing these sweaters fly off their shelves.![]()
Well, I'm glad all those ugly Christmas sweaters are finding homes.![]()
Today is Doomsday. Alternate side of the street parking will be in effect.
That cat sweater is hilarious.
I think I will have a snack and take a nap before I eat and go to sleep.
Temporary homes! I trust they are all going back to Goodwill/Savers/Thrift stores immediately after the event!
I'm glad our family was in the ugly sweater trend way back before it was cool to do so (thanks to a grandmother who loved to knit/crochet, but was sadly ungifted in tiffin' ideas)

And now, I've been invited to one of these parties too, so these suggestions are very helpful!
