Dai arrived in Russia on September 6. He will be training with Morozov and his group for about 3 weeks. The training camp is taking place at Novogorsk Training Center which is a top notch facility.

Still no information regarding his LP.

Dai's popularlity is getting crazier and crazier in Japan. Every time he is in a show or a competition, it's getting harder to get a ticket, particularly when you choose a seat or a day. For instance, for Shizuka's "Friends on Ice" (Aug. 24-26) his fans had to fight through fierce battles of grabbing tickets.
One of the reasons is that there are only 2 more seasons fans can see him as an eligible ( Dai said he is going to quit after Sochi.) and there are only 4 more competition programs of him we can see. His coach Utako Nagamitsu said it makes her sad when she thinks about she can see only 4 more programs of Dai from now.

As far as I'm concerned, Dai Takahashi should be the current and defending World champion right now. What I love about Dai is that he's not just a great champion, he's a great person with grace and charisma. He's a true gentleman. He worries not about his competition. He just absorbs and learns all he can, and he works hard and focuses on what he can do to improve and to grow as a skater and a person. That is what makes him such a great champion, and such a wonderful human being.

Dai has challenged himself continually and he has sought out choreographers, dancers, coaches and mentors to help him be the best he can be. No, he's not a perfect skater -- he still has areas of weakness. But guess what? D**n if he isn't the best male skater in the world right now. Dai don't rest on his laurels or wimp out because it's hard and he suffered a serious injury. If landing quads is going to be what it takes in the men's field, Dai decided to focus on working extremely hard to raise himself back to the level of landing them successfully. He also has never stopped continuing to challenge himself artistically. Last year, I don't think the judges properly rewarded him. But Dai never hung his head or got down on himself or blamed the judges. He just decided to keep on working hard. He kept performing to a high level, and he should have won Worlds 2011 on the basis of his great performances. But again, he didn't blame the judges. He probably said to himself, ... "I did all I could and I performed my best, and I'm almost there. Now, what can I do to improve for next year?"

Amazing how he managed to improve even further since last year: his SS, ice coverage and spins are amazing, besides everything else. It's incredible how he manages to always get better and better. What a role-model as a sport man.

I'm at work so I couldn't watch it with the sound on. A lot of it is actually material that was already shown on Japanese tv but could be nice for those who haven't seen much of the most recent Japanese coverage. Although we're shown a lot more detailed analysis of the evolution of his quad than I ever remember seeing, so as far as I know, that is new

And always nice to see Honda-senshu again ^-^
