I've always liked "The Selfish Giant", though I can see how it lent itself so easily to the tweeness of the 1970s cartoon version I watched as a kid. That's the only Oscar Wilde fairy tale I've read so far.

    What's your opinion of them?

You mean "Oscar Wilde - yay or nay?"

I think they're magical, especially the more adult ones like 'The Star Child' and 'The Fisherman and His Soul'. But even 'The Happy Prince' reduces me to tears, and normally I hate sentimentality.

Caedmon of Whitby: yay or nay?

    Vergil: yay or nay?

left-wing communist art strikes: yay or nay?

the Northern Lights: yay or nay?

sudden outbreaks of adolescent obnoxiousness: yay or nay?

Yay - the biggest rodents in the world. (I wish I'd never seen the clip showing an anaconda squeezing the life out of one. Yes, I know - ' Nature, red in tooth and claw' and so on.)
