    Hanyu
I'm so glad I could see him live 2 years ago in Toruń during JGP. I sooo wish he could join Dai and Taka at Worlds in Nice!

You are on lucky person. I'd love to see Hanyu live but Canada is a bit far

Let's hope he just didn't have his best skate here and does poorly at Nationals.

Actually his best performance was of last year's Eastern Sectionals. I hope he lands all jumps including a 4-3 in the SP at nationals --- and the 4S at Nice worlds.

    I meant for this season
Are you going to be reporting the results for Nationals this year? I know you've been reporting on sectionals and stuff like that before. It's going to be so exciting

Hanyu is young. I think he has a bright future because he already has the jumps and has the time to develop his overall skating.

I already love this guy. Frightening to think how good he will be if he's this good now.

    Love, love, love him.

    Is Hanyu Catholic?

I ask because he crosses himself before starting his program.

Time to bump up this thread!

What a fantastic performance by Hanyu to win the bronze. I can't believe this guy is just barely 17.

Where did Winnie the Pooh go, though? Have they split?

For people with insight into the JSF: We had read how Hanyu had to do a lot of shows after the earthquake to earn money. What kind of funding does the JSF offer? And will this increase now that Hanyu is a world medalist?

Hanyu is definitely one to watch. I expect to see him on the top step, very soon.

He was terrific at the GPF and stunning at Worlds. Love the way he put every ounce of energy and emotion into his skate. He was gutted by the end but it paid off.

Hanyu is a god, if you ask me.
Now he will have more pressure though...just hoping he will get another sensational FS next season! i'll be delighted to watch him in the various summer shows. I worship him!

I saw his coach holding Winnie the Pooh in the K & C.

He did a lot of shows last summer because his training rink had been damaged by the earthquake. He used extra ice time before those shows to practice. I'm sure it helped him earn money, too, but he did all the shows to get ice time.

Interesting, and very resourceful. Thanks for the insight, ChibiChibi.

IMO, too. It was entrancing, and an incredible technical feat. I can't get over the fact that he can do a 3A directly out of a spread eagle with absolutely no break.

Hanyu's entrances to his jumps were crazy difficult, yet done so artistically. I've never seen anything like it. Simply amazing
