Here is a clip with him and Nan Song at the end of the gala. Hanyu looks so hyper here!

    Aww... beginning of a bromance?!

What a great winning attitude Hanyu has... and I am so chuffed for Nan Song!

Hope they can remain friendly rivals for the years to come and do their best!

    --------------

I decide to check out out the Chinese skating forums for this Hanyu news, and seems in general the Chinese audiences at the arena has been quite taken with Hanyu.

A member of the skating forums at the arena says he noticed Hanyu's legs appear to be shaking and a bit unsteady before he took ice on his LP. During warm up, he also appear to be a bit agitated because of a practice fall on 4T so he kept practicing the 4T. He says Hanyu doesn't look relaxed and was all nerves.

On the lighter note, Hanyu seems to be been particularly taken care of by the Chinese fans of Johnny Weir who threw a Winnie bear at him which he happily accepted. And by fans of Nan Song (maybe that explain why they get on so well?!)

Here are some fan photos (Cred: 08jixueyingyu and 小溪流水x from Baidu.com) from Baidu.

If that's true, then my heart goes out to him. He worked so hard and was so close.

Well if he grabs a silver at his next GP he might still qualify for GPF.

That Winnie the Pooh picture is from one of the ice shows this summer! I remember seeing it back in July. He also had this Pooh bear tissue box at Nebelhorn Trophy, too. I think it became his "thing" and people started giving him Pooh bear stuff haha.

Here's some flowers for him with a Pooh bear balloon.

If he wins his second event then who knows.

He was so close to third place at CoC, only two tenths of a point.

I think he had problems with his 3axel in the warm-up too. It must have unsettled him and affected his performance, making him even more nervous.

He was so close to winning the event too 1.98 points away from first.
    I don't think he'll win CoR though

The Eurosports commentators were talking about the problems he was having on the 3A in warmup during his program.

I'm sure he can do it, like his "God"(he said so) Plushy

Totally agree with you. His future will be great. As far as I know he is one of the most talented Japanese skaters.
My current worry is how the earthquakes in his hometown affect his future. Somehow he seems like in a hurry.

And, thank you so much os168;3358553. Finally, my pictures folder is filled with Yuzuru. This kid is really adorable
I noticed he was wearing Plushy Wristband. My younger sister has it, too. Though she doesn't wear at all. LOL

I know it's going to be hard, because there are Brezina and Verner, Gachinski, Javier, Jeremmy, Mroz, but I am praying that he will win or make a podium in Russia. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him.

I have been my favorite skater for long time!

I'm glad that he receive the credit that he deserve and I'm glad that there are so many people like him.

From one of the interview, the pooh bear is like his lucky charm.

I think he has some fan base in China as he has his own fan page in Baidu.

Hope he will win Cup of Russia!

Here are three more Chinese STAN cam for you guys

Pooh appeared again in his FS warm up. I am trying to figure out whether he brought it with him or were given it between taking the photos.

Yeah Hanyu in CoR should be really interesting but it is going to be another tough battle. Weird how he is meeting Abbott and Gachinski again! And also Javier who's very popular in Russia. But if Hanyu goes clean, he can clean the lot! (Unless Gachinski get another home king overmark in PCS.)

I wonder if Plushy will attend and say Hi ~

I KNEW this was going to happen, but my sister was pretty sure it wouldn't. Now I'm wishing we'd made a bet...

Sorry to hear of his financial problems. I hope his fed can help him out; he seems like a bright star that can bring his country much glory- may be even an OGM some day.

Hanyu is super lucky to get into the GPF finals by the slimmest margins! But figure skating is a bit like that. It requires Jeremy to do badly, and Javier does less badly and .03 is all it took Maybe it is meant to be?

He had to build his PCS from the ground up in his debut senior year, and his TES reflect his ambition to be the best he can be, on the brink of limitations.

Hope he can take this great opportunity to show us what he is made out of. Go Hanyu!! Forget about the podium, just do your best and be proud of all you have achieved. (I am however hoping a podium finish for him)
