We were across from the judges too - the only thing you really miss, IMO, is the playing to the judges and that's no real loss to me.
Maybe the sections to the left or right of the judges would work for you? Those may be available later.

So...dumb question, but what are the dates for SC? I can't find them on the website.
When hugging a grammar nazi, I always say "there, their, they're."

Reviving this thread because I'm seriously considering going to SC if I get the time off. I'm thinking of visiting friends at U of M and then renting a car and driving to Windsor. Anyone have any experience with crossing the boarder in a rental? Is it a problem?
Also, I was wondering if anyone might be looking for a hotel roommate. I promise to try not to get ridiculously lost or have any major car troubles this year.![]()

I doubt crossing in a rental would be an issue. In all my years I've never been asked for car papers. Whether or not I have renegade apples? Now that's a different story.
(Mom and I will probably go, but commute. Windsor is just too close to justify a hotel.)
Please check the rules - while its easy to cross into the US in a rental there are rules or used to be rules for crossing the border in Canada with a US rental. It would pity if you reached the border and were not allowed in.
I know Kasey did it last year, I'll have to see if I can find out what she came up with.

I'm confused - is this Skate Canada 2013?
Nor trouble for Canadians in a Canadian rental driving into the US.
I found out trying to book a Zipcar in Seattle to drive a bunch of stuff to Vancouver that, as a Canadian resident, I can't drive a car with US plates into Canada, per Canadian customs. That if I stole a Zipcar or rental car would get me into a lot more trouble than trying to avoid taxes/duties doesn't matter at all. (I couldn't do it the other way around, because the Zipcar allowance for US cars is 200 mi/day, well over a one-way trip, and the allowance for Canadian cars is 200 km/day, which doesn't work.)
Yes, they need to issue you a Canadian insurance card.

I am looking to buy one all event ticket. If anyone can help me it would be appreciated.![]()
Does anyone know when the individual event tickets will go on sale? Looking to do men's and maybe dance or pairs.
^ Honey, there are a lot of us looking to do the men.
(just kidding)
Am I there yet?
At my age, I'm not real picky.![]()

I know there are some rental car companies in Canada that don't allow their cars to be taken over the border.
