Yes. However, Jennifer was responding to the same question without coming across like a tool. Which, if you think about it, is kind of incredible.

I have to say, I pretty much like all the teams this season. Dad is a twit, but Zac seems like a nice kid. He can't help it if his Dad is arrogant. The rest of them have been funny and try hard. Except for the Unknowns who are invisible and just slide through events. They must be so boring, the producers don't even bother showing them. They'll probably end up winning and we'll all be going who are these people?

Go back and listen to what they said and transcribe it here then.

It is beyond offensive to be in the place of worship of another religion and insist that the deity they believe in is not a true one. It's offensive and disrespectful even if you're not in a place of worship of another religion.

And enough of the "poor put on Christians" bullshit please.

    They weren't "insisting" anything.

"Andy and I both are Christians, and it's been interesting with the Buddhist temples and these tasks, but, you know, God has definitely granted them a temple."

"I don't feel like any weird vibes coming here. We know the one, true God and it's pretty straightforward when you read the Bible."

They're including God in both of their religions. Never once did they state nor imply that the the deity Buddhists worship isn't real. In fact, they stated the polar opposite.

They're implying that the one, true God is one, true God for all.

Jumping in on the discussion, when I heard them say "one true God" and mention the bible, I also thought they were invalidating the Buddhist faith. Not in a mean way, however. In an ignorant way, for lack of a better description.

Wow, my interpretation was that the Bible states that there is one, true God for all regardless of religion.

I don't believe it, but I agree that it is what it says. Most Christians also believe in "one baptism for the forgiveness of sins"

I think many people who are very very devout (or pretend to be, at least) Christians (or Muslims too, actually) feel badly for those who are other religions, since they are 'good' people, and yet, the religious person knows they will not be "saved" due to their lack of/other religion.

So yeah, I think it is stupid, but I can see where the snowboarders were coming from, knowing others with the same belief. To them, there is only one God, and while other people might be nice people, who have good lives, not believing in the true God is eternally damning. That's why missionaries do what they do. I have been personally told I am going to hell for being a Catholic, and that I should allow myself to be saved (as you can tell from my comments, I'm not really a great Catholic anyhow)

Having not heard the snowboarders make any previous comments though, I think it was leading questions that got them to really express it. We don't know that Jennifer got asked the same thing, though her answer was much more respectful of others

Well, having been raised a Baptist, I am offended by the surfers' comments. I think that some things are better left unsaid, and the comments that they made fall in that category.

Their opinion is an uneducated, egocentric one. It's also insulting. I'm a little embarrassed that they would make these comments. They're visitors in another country. They should have kept their narrow-minded opinions to themselves.

I just hope that when they watched themselves at home that they had enough pride to be sorry about the comments.

    To clarify, they're snowboarders.

But I guess we'll have to agree to disagree here, because I think you're seriously overreacting.

Breaking in to the religion discussion here to make this comment about the twins and their luck with the cab drivers:

Never, ever underestimate the power of being cute and blonde. I'm sure that it did help that they were nice, too. Too bad they're gone. I really started liking them the last couple of legs.

Me too. They didn't get snippy and I loved how they reacted to washing the elephants.

I think the fact that people reacted to their meltdown in the way they did because they were cute blonde twins (by giving them free rides) also contributed to their not being so frustrated that they would blow up at someone.

Of course, the twins knew they were in last when that bus started pulling away...they had two really bad legs, hadn't seen any other teams in 24 hours. If they were in real reach of staying in the race, they may have been a bit closer to snapping at someone.
Q: Why can't I read the competition threads?
A: Competition forums on the board are available to those with a Season Pass or a premium membership How to View Kiss & Cry

I pretty much PML'ed at the woman walking away with the snowboarders' clue and eventually went to go teach a class before getting back with them
