I'm going to post in the ticket section as well, but if anyone would like an Ice Dance FD, Ice Dance SD, and Men's SP tickets, please PM me! Literally found out the day after I purchased that I won't be able to go. One ticket of each.

I think they stopped selling all-event/same seat tickets once the single ticket sessions went on sale.

Look in the tickets for sale thread. I thought I already saw some Worlds tickets up for grabs in there; if not there probably will be closer to the event.

I can believe some place is extorting charging $1300/night for a room.

The all-event tickets stopped being sold after the single event tickets went on sale. However, the flex packages are still available (the 3 event packages).

I ended up getting a room at Super 8 for fairly cheap.

From the emails from Skate Canada, are the parking passes coming to those with all event tickets? Or is it still being reported that "closer to the event there will be more information"?

That's gotta be Windermere Manor and their regular price for a suite. Had to book one once for an out of town VIP. Insane prices.

This is from the SC email I received:
Information on parking passes for all-event ticket package holders will be sent to you with your ticket packages.

OK, I am a bit confused....I just cancelled my Motel 6 reservation which was $677 plus tax for 9 days....I am keeping my Quality Inn for $1100 for nine days with tax. Did someone say they just got a room at the Days Inn at 1100 Wellington for $160 a night???
I know someone I met at SA-Kent that just got a room at one of the Hiltons by White Oaks Mall....am I missing something? Maybe the rates went up as hotels filled up....

The Residence Inn downtown is charging $399/night the week of Worlds for a room that's normally $199.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! The prices for hotels are painful to hear! I live in Toronto so my friend and I are planning to drive and do a hotel for one night(we have a 3-event package). The solution we have come up with is to book in Cambridge, just at the highway exit. There is a cluster of hotels there and I doubt they will be raising their prices since they are approximately 1 hour away. Another good thing is I can use my airmiles there. Not sure if this would work for anyone else but it's a thought.

Woodstock Ontario ( 1/2 hour drive) has a cluster of hotels at the exit to Hwy 401...try prices there.
Try Strathroy Ontario as well...1/2 hour drive maybe a few motels

If you're willing to stay in smaller towns outside of London, consider staying in places like Ingersol, St. Thomas, Woodstock. These towns all have 20-40 thousand people, so they should have a couple of hotels/motels. Since they are in smaller towns, they will likely be reasonably priced, plus they are all right off the main highway, so I'm guessing it would be less than 30 minute drive to London.

There is a Comfort Inn in St.Thomas, and 3 or 4 small independent motels. They would be roughly 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.

They are accepting reservations???? Many moons ago when I got my tickets, I tried the down town hotels and they were very politely saying, "Go somewhere else."
Now it appears that they are suddenly finding a few rooms that they can let go for only $400. I think I will still stay at the Quality inn for $122 and use what I saved to rent a limo for my friends and I.

They are if you book for more than a week.

I wonder if that has to do with the tour groups releasing their "Held" rooms. Wonder what the skaters pay.....

I don't think the skaters pay anything. I think Skate Canada pays for their accommodations.

I was debating for the longest time whether to go to this event because of the price and at the same time tried to get my friends to come. I'm only planning to go to one event - Mens FS (as of right now) but the tickets available are in the upper bowl (300s section) and row J. So that's about 10 rows back from the the first upper bowl row. Should I take the plunge and get them now or chance upon people selling better tickets closer to the date? Only one ticket would be needed, so I'm not sure if people like to sell tickets individually or in pairs.

I'm new to FSU so I'm not sure about the likelihood of extra tickets selling for previous Worlds here. Anyone like to give an opinion?

I've never done something like this before...... all of you who are traveling and staying in hotels whilst there, do you rent a car to get to the rink? I am sort of clueless on how to go about this all! haha.

    .

We are driving there from TO. Will drive to rink if we get the parking. If not we will take taxis each day and back. Which hotel are you staying at in case you want to share with us?

We're renting a car, although that's mostly because my mom has some mobility issues and really can't walk very far. If I was going without her I'd probably take the bus/walk a lot more.
