Something I never thought I'd say with any great concern, but here 'tis: There's no Witt in this poll.

    Dushenays by a gigantic margin.
To be frank, I really can't remember programs other than remebering that Alissa Czisny's one had a nice music cut.

I knew the pole was missing someone.

I can't believe I forgot Katarina's skate to WSS in 1987! It was my most favorite performance of hers. Is it possible to change the poll options and replace someone with Katarina Witt?

I voted other as my favourite was Moiseeva & Minenkov's FD to WSS at the 1978 Worlds (in spite of the fall at the end). It wasn't the most difficult FD but it was stunning artistically.

I voted for Duchesnays, Davis, and Suzuki.

None of the others are memorable to me. In some cases I don't even remember that that skater used that music.

Oops, forgot I was supposed to vote for my top 3. I guess my other 2 besides Moiseeva & Minenkov would be Akiko Suzuki's FS (but at the 2009-2010 GPF) and perhaps Witt's FS at the 1987 Worlds.

Since I forgot to list Katarina Witt (shame on me!), I picked G&G, Bowman and Cohen. If I were to do it again, I would replace Cohen with Witt. Sasha's program to WSS at Marshalls was really good, but I don't think she ever used it in a competition. I don't know if she even skated it again.

I love G&G's skate to WSS as pro. They suddenly looked very mature and very happy.

Aboit Tai & Randy's skate- I saw it on TV somewhere around 1988-89 as part of a program that showed great exhibition/pro skates from the past. It was a beautiful skate to 'Somewhere (there will be a time for us)'. I don't know if it's on YT. I have it on a tape so I did not look for YT.

bronze - Witt, for the costume, totally unrelated to WWS but she made it work)

silver - Witt, for her best constructed lp (it comes close to redeeming her abysmal 87 sp, honestly, wtf was up with that getting first?)

gold - Witt, for her best ever single performance (worlds 87) always a bit on the lazy side it was nice to see her pushed for a change and rising to the challenge.

I'd forgotten that Bowman routine to Maria. Just beautiful. I don't think there is a guy out there today with a nicer Ina Bauer.

I quite liked Totmianina-Marinin's WSS the first time they used it at Skate America -- it wasn't the pretty-pretty stuff, and I thought it looked great to seem something edgy for a change. Unfortunately, I don't think that they ever managed to skate it cleanly in competition. In practices, it was amazing. And damn, do I miss the kind of pairs step sequences we had back then.

I'm one of the few voting for Trifun Zivanovich. His had such high style, so in tune with the music. He had the look and the choreo to embody a gang member. Loved him and miss him. He was a great vampire too. He had that faintly menacing look to him.
