Congratulations to them. Even factoring for national inflation, those are very nice scores, especially considering how short a time they've been a team.

How do these scores compare (Sylvia??) to the rest of the field we might see for Senior dance? So happy for them, they must be tired from CoC and traveling. for Nationals!

It's really hard to tell, because it looks like for all the teams that competed both at sectionals and at the GP/Senior B events, the sectionals scores were 12 (Lichtman/Copely) to 30 (Samuelson/Gilles) points higher (with the one exception of Hubbell/Donohue, whose scores at Mids and Nebelhorn were within 2 points).

If you're looking at signs of improvement, S/G finished behind L/C in China and ahead of them at Pacific Coasts.

    Here are the scores, though:

    Best Scores International
Meryl DAVIS / Charlie WHITE 178.07 (Skate America)
Maia SHIBUTANI / Alex SHIBUTANI 151.85 (NHK)
Madison HUBBELL / Zachary DONOHUE 139.01 Nebelhorn [131.04 Skate America]
Madison CHOCK / Evan BATES 136.88 Finlandia [135.10 Skate Canada]
Isabella CANNUSCIO / Ian LORELLO 129.80 Easterns
    Lynn KRIENGKRAIRUT / Logan GIULIETTI-SCHMITT 126.39 (NHK)
Anastasia OLSON / Jordan COWAN 119.42 (Nebelhorn)
Isabella CANNUSCIO / Ian LORELLO 115.22 (Skate America)
Anastasia CANNUSCIO / Colin MCMANUS 109,68 (ONDREJ NEPELA)
Charlotte LICHTMAN / Dean COPELY 109.61 (China)
Emily SAMUELSON / Todd GILLES 106.74 (China)

    SECTIONAL SCORES
Madison HUBBELL / Zachary DONOHUE 140.96 Mids
Emily SAMUELSON / Todd GILLES 136.86 Pac Coast
Anastasia OLSON / Jordan COWAN 132.67 Pac Coast
Isabella CANNUSCIO / Ian LORELLO 129.80 Easterns
Anastasia CANNUSCIO / Colin MCMANUS 126.92 Easterns
Charlotte LICHTMAN / Dean COPELY 122.10
Ginna Hoptman, Pavel Filchenkov, 114.50 Easterns
Shannon Wingle, Timothy McKernan, 111.43 Mids
    Brittany Schmucker, Adam Munday, 110.70
Meredith Zuber, Kyle Herring, 100.23 Easterns
Carina Glastris, Kevin Allison, 85.54 Mids

Hey Impromptu, do you want to start a new US Dance thread in the Trash Can using your post above? Can you think of a creative title?

wow, a 30 point swing from Cup of China. Can't wait to watch the video. If they can make that kind of improvement in just two weeks time, I can only imagine what this team will look like by Nationals.

Yes, I'd say that's quite the amazing progress in 2 weeks. Congrats to them and I'm SO glad we'll get to see them battle it out at Nationals!!!

OK, I will but does anyone have suggestions for a US Dance discussion thread title?

That wasn't my list, but I can include Senior B ice dance scores in the new thread.

ETA link to a general U.S dance discussion thread I've started in the Trash Can with a boring title : http://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/showthread.php?t=81226

So sorry! I think I am used to you being the listmaker and gatherer of scores

I just saw other Bs listed and was looking for the Challenge scores.

Just after Evan and Emily announced their split I was at the rink, which happened to be playing Huey Lewis' "Happy to Be Stuck with You." It felt very, very ironic given the rash of breakups this past spring.

Umm... some of those points were probably 'skating while American' Proving that you can't compare scores in spite of what the ISU wants to say!

Does anyone know if they changed part of their SD music. Icenetwork has the following:

    2012 Season Notes
SP Music: "Como Golondrinas" by Angela Carrasco, "Goldfinger" by Perez Prado and his Orchestra
The first song sounds very Rumba-ish and they did not dance to that before. Here's a link to "Como Golondrinas" by Angela Carrasco

FS Music: "Stairway to Heaven" by Mary J. Blige
