    Skating to Cinderella

I am going to see the ballet Cinderella at a local theatre this Sunday. I can think of only two skating programs skated to this music:

Angela Nikodinov (early in her career)
Midori Ito (when she made a comeback)

Although it's not the most popular skating music, I am sure others have used it, but I can't think of any, right now.

I liked Nakano's program. Ryan Jahnke had a LP to "Cinderella" back in 2003.

One of the ice dance teams (USA or Canadian?) skated to Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Ten Minutes Ago" as part of their short dance last season. This is not from the ballet you mention, but it is waltz music.

That was Kharis Ralph & Asher Hill, the #5 ranked senior team in Canada. The program was darling!

And Ryan Janke, in 2003--the only year he made the world team.

With a great skate, he was third in his qualifying round with "Cinder-fella."

Galler-Rabinowitz & Mitchell used it for their FD in 2003.

Which Cinderella's? The Tchaikovsky or Prokofiev one? Anyone knows somebody who skated to Tchaikovsky's ballet?

Prokofiev's. I did not know Tchaikovsky had written Cinderella also.

I just got back from the ballet. It was really good. Great art direction, beautiful costumes, quality dancing.

I liked Angela's skate to this music at the 1998 US nationals, even though she had not yet developed artistically. I loved her pure moves, right technique- things that seem to have become rare lately among skaters.

Glad you enjoyed the ballet. We saw Angela's 1998 US Nationals performance of Cinderella live. It was lovely!

I had the great joy of seeing this in person. I cried over its beauty.

I think former Canadian Ice Dancers Josh and Rebecca Babb did an OD to Cinderella music at 1999 Canadians.

Lu Chen skated to portions of the "Slow Waltz" in her LP for the 1994-1995 season.

I liked the one by Angela Nikodinov, even if it was not my favorite program of hers.
The one by Midori Ito was a bit scary. At Worlds, it was slow and painful to watch, IMO.
