I am just back form the scarborough show. I think R&H have come a long way. They have a great connection and sense of timing and have matured as skaters with much better lifts. I liked both their programs though their FD isnt complete so they skated parts only. Her dresses were mature and 'normal' . I think the cancan dress could be improved a bit - felt it was not frou frou enough.

Was also interesting to see Paul and Piper. Their FD was interesting to WIld SPirits which is good for her high energy I still felt it wasnt dancey enough and relied on a number of tricks. She still needs to get her stroking to be smooth and edges to be deeper. Paul is really a fabulous dancer.
Disappointed in the SD to Mary Poppins but its early in the season.

Justine Chiu was there so we should be seeing some nice pics.

I love this team so much! And this SD I just love it, I've seen it three times already which is amazing because I didn't think I would love any SD. I hope they do well this season.

I feel the same way you do, Shayii! I can't stop watching it! I love how they put so much care into expressing each different section of music...the little flourishes, the quick responses to the changes in tempo. Like Emdee said, they have come a long way...I followed a bit of their junior career and always appreciated how they were just a little bit different. I have read interviews with them and have been impressed by their intelligence and maturity. Asher even came on the live chat during worlds in 2009 (where people comment on the skating and ask PJ questions during the broadcast) and he was very complimentary of the skaters. I am so happy to see them progress this much in their skating, especially given everything Kharis has had to deal with recently (her dad died the season before last). Anyways, it's nice to chat with fellow fans

^..It seemed short to me too which is good IMHO. I'm not really enamoured by the polka or polka music for seniors. They're fun to dance to at an Octoberfest, but that's about it. I've got my fingers x'd for this team to move up. They are unique.

I'm going to need you (and Doris) to explain the polka for me...I just know it is a Bohemian folk dance that was considered scandalous when it made its debut. Beyond that, I don't have a clue. any help would be greatly appreciated. I have seen some polkas (one in Germany, and it is certainly a fun dance.
