Better Rock 'N Roll keyboardist: Keith Emerson, Patrick Moraz or Rick Wakeman?

Never saw Yes perform, saw Emerson Lake & Palmer in concert twice. Based on studio and live albums, I'd say Keith, by a slender margin.

Any other notables, (and please don't say Paul McCartney )

Are only electronic keyboardist/organists eligible? Otherwise I would say Elton John, Billy Joel, or Roy Bittan, who are all piano players.

My favourite keyboard solo is Alan Price's in The Animals' version of House of the Rising Sun

A few more who come to mind:

Ian McLagan from Faces. (Currently living in the Austin, Texas area and still active in music from what I've read)

Jon Lord from Deep Purple and Whitesnake

Ray Manzarek from The Doors (his playing in "Touch Me" made that song, imo)

Other notables: Richard Wright of Pink Floyd and (if piano players count) Nicky Hopkins.

Sorry, none of the above for me

My top 4 in no particular order will be:

    1. Ken Hensley - Uriah Heep
    2. the already mentioned John Lord - Deep Purple
    3. also mentioned Richard Wright - Pink Floyd
    4. Manfred Mann

Tere are many more others though

David Rosenthal (Rainbow), Geoff Nichols (Black Sabbath), Don Airy (Rainbow, Deep Purple), Phil Lanzon (Uriah Heep), John Tout (Renaissance), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin)....
