Russian Show: Phantom of the Operas

The show basically takes Russian pop singers out of their comfort zones and away from the synths and electric guitars and beat machines and has them sing opera and broadway. Very interesting concept. Are there any other shows like this around the world? I personally would like to see an American version with Christina Aguillera, Geoff Tate from Queensryche, and Rob Halford from Judas Priest

    Kirkorov singing Song of India.

I think the original show is UK's "Popstar to Operastar" that was hosted / led by Rolando Villazon and Katherine Jenkins.

My grandparents told me about the Russian version, so I gave it a YouTube try until my ears started to bleed from this "operatic" singing The show itself seems fun and singers are serious about trying a different genre, so why not...
