I got a gigantic gift card to Nordstrom's. KACHING!
My parents don't even bother to get gift gifts, they just get gift cards. And I don't mind that at all.

I got the Maison Martin Margiela perfume 'Untitled' - I love it!
For Christmachanukkwanzaaca, I received the two items that were on the top of my Wish List. I really, really wanted - Lancôme's Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector and their Rénergie Multiple Action Eye Cream.
I never thought I would say this, but my Génifique adoration is being surpassed by these two new items.
I got a gift certificate to the spa and money that I plan to spend at Sephora...haha!
I'm not spoiled...I deserve all my stuff.
It's hilarious that y'all are the only people I dare to tell.
Remember that deep purple velvet blazer, the one that cost $500? It went to half price today. And I got the last one in my size in that color...other stores have them but only in the burgundy.
It's still a lot of money but this blazer was meant for me. And I was meant to live in the 15th century, but whatever.
Oh, and the Beauty Summit of IceAlisa and PRLady took place two weeks ago in San Francisco. Ladies, listen when that girl talks. She looks fabulous.

Nothing more torturous than receiving a Sephora gift card for $20 ... TOO MANY DECISIONS! Do I want my favorite Bobbi Brown foundation? Or that Tarte blush that I keep eyeing? Maybe that powder brush I was looking at? Don't need eyeshadow or nail polish, and I'm not a lipstick person. Gah!!
I may go ultra-safe and just get a new moisturizer. I'm so boring.
So......I spent my gift card today. I needed new shoes and a new bag. Then I was going to save the remainder for future makeup purchases. Oh no. I spent it all in one go.
I may have lost my head and gotten this bag in black: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/kate-spa...esultback=2961
Super cute!
I got the Hello Kitty eyeshadow collection for Christmas.![]()
That bag is fabulous!! I want the pink one!
Three of my bosses got me a $100 certificate to a place in town called Skin MediSpa. Not only do they do mani/pedis, massage, facials, etc., but they do cosmetic surgery/botox too. I wonder if they're trying to tell me something.
I'm considering either skin tag removal or Latisse.
what's a skin tag?
Skin tags. I have some on my neck, and they're annoying.
what causes them? or are they there from birth?
not for the faint of heart:Spoiler
can you just clip them off with nail clippers (albeit after icing it first?)
No make-up gifts for me this year. I'd be sad, but the week before Christmas I decided I'd make a serious effort to use what I damn well have. Of course, I have to exchange something at Sephora this week, and will ruin that pledge in quick order, but...My addiction to creaseless cream shadows I can apply on the train to work isn't dwindling. Especially after getting Bobbi Brown's Creaseless Cream Shadow in Cement.
Do any of the other lash-growth formulas/mascaras on the market seem to work past Latisse?

I'm not sure what causes them, but they are hereditary. My mom, aunt and grandmother all have/had them.
Some people tie a thread around the base to stop the blood flow, and apparently they fall off. I haven't tried it. There is also a Dr. Scholl's skin tag remover that freezes them off. I've been waiting to hear from someone who has used it before trying it.
Aren't skin tags caused by a virus, like warts?

I have a few of those, and one of them has just fallen off before. When I was a teenager I tried pulling them off and uh yeah that didn't work.
I always thought skin tags were like birthmarks, only raised? I've been blessed with a whole bunch of those, and am planning to have some surgically removed.
Santa brought me my yearly jar of La Mer and Clarin's One Step Exfoliating
Cleanser with Orange Extract, which I adore.
I've also discovered a line in Ulta whose moisturizer I really like-Benefit. I was toodling around Ulta with some other "old lady" friends, and we got stopped by this bright young thing who put swipes of Benefit's eye cream "It's Potent" under my eyes, and it really made a big difference! So I bought some. I've used the Lauder $75-per-jar stuff, but I think your skin gets used to it, and it starts to not work after awhile. Anyway, this It's Potent stuff worked great for less than half the price so I bought it. The salesgirl also gave me some Benefit Moisturizer sample, and I was totally amazed. Not the same feel as La Mer, but what a lovely, silky, effect it has! Loved it!
