For misskarne and other Canberrans, I asked on Palace Electric (the Canberra Palace Cinema) FB if they would be showing Opera on Ice from the Italian film festival, and if they had a date yet. Their reply was:
"At this stage we have not confirmed what films we will be showing from the Lavazza Italian Film Festival but we will certainly be keeping this on in mind!"
I doubt I'll still be in Canberra by the time this cinema opens, but hopefully the rest of you will get to see it.

Opera on Ice will be shown on Canale5 today at 17.10! I hope someone will post videos on Youtube :-)
The 2013 edition is already set: It will take place on September 28!
Also, some very nice backstage videos have been posted to the official Opera on Ice website, they are definitely worth checking out!

I am looking to buy the first Opera on Ice on DVD but can't quite figure out where to locate it to buy a copy (and the website is in Italian). Is someone able to help me?
What the hell is a Ninja Twizzle? Does it have anything to do with hard shelled aquatic life forms that live in the sewer?
The dvd was only sold with a weekly magazine here in Italy and it was sold for 1 week only in the newspaper stands. I guess the only way to have one is to request if there are old, unsold copies of the dvd and have them delivered. Maybe I can write to them and ask them if they do such deliveries abroad? (they usually do them in Italy). Is there more than one person interested?
I think she probably meant the official opera on ice website which was posted above http://www.operaonice.eu/news/opera-...a-edicole.html
That would be wonderful if you could. I am more than happy to pay for any costs involved in getting a copy. They did show it at the cinemas here in Australia as part of an Italian film festival, however there were a lot of people who missed out and would love to see it.

Ok. I'll just email them and see what it turns out. I'll let you know in this thread, so that other people can read if interested
Thank you so much for your help Eleonorad.

Hi everyone, just to let you know that I've sent the email but all I got was an automatic reply from their web site that says that previous numbers of the magazine with the dvd can be sent in Italy for 15€. They don't mention nothing about the availability of the copies and the chance to ship abroad which I asked for in the email so I guess I'll just telephone them to have more details

I actually just had to take a look at the web site http://www.operaonice.eu/opera-on-ice-2012-in-dvd.html to find out that they say it's not possible to buy the dvd from outside Italy
