Hart grew up in Kenilworth and started singing with his family’s church choir at the Kenilworth Union Church.
His father went to Dartmouth to study engineering, just like him, but he says he never felt pressured to follow his footsteps.
“I think I’m just a lot like my dad and I think like him,” Hart said.
Long before he stepped on campus, he knew about the Dartmouth Aires. In the mid-1990s, his father returned from a class reunion with a CD of the group, called “Buenos Aires.”
“He’d play it in the living room and I remember listening to it,” Hart said. “I know every single track, every single word. I just loved it so much.”
Now, he’s one of the group members who peddles CDs to alumni at events, he said.
“It’s really the most defining part of my experience at Dartmouth,” Hart said of the Aires.
