I'm not yet sure. If it's the usual hash of The Young Sea and the Young Princess Sinbad's Ship at the Festival of Baghdad, the answer will be a resounding Nay. "Yay" if it's something that will defy expectations.

    The Kalendar Prince
The Young Prince and the Young Princess

I nixed Path to War because it has that loathsome Alec Baldwin in it. I'll go with Three Burials.

    or
    tiresome

The latter film is very good, though pacing is an issue. Path to War is absorbing and well-acted, if oversympathetic to the Johnson administration.

    Usually tiresome.

    Clockwise

Valentina Matviyenko, an ally of Putin's, became the Speaker of Russia's Upper House. She earlier won a district election with 95% of the vote. (Sounds familiar?)

A good sign of women's empowerment in Russia
    OR
Another sign that Russia is not truly a democracy.

Here is another question about an item in the news:
Authorities in L'Aquila Italy has filed murder charges against six scientist for failing to predict the quake in that city which killed 309 people in 2009.
    http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,,15404522,00.html

    AGREE with the charges
    OR
    DISAGREE with the Italian government

The Pearl (the only one I've read ). I'd most like to read East of Eden sometime.

    Memorial competitions:

    Ondrej Nepela
Karl Schaefer (not held since 2008; let's blame Kostner for beating Glebova that last year, though the former's routines lacked a single clean triple )
    John Curry (JGP Sheffield)
