    RIP, Farley Mowat

Author and environmental activist Farley Mowat has died at the age of 92.

In his younger days he was a huge influence on getting Canadian literature into Canadian schools. Never Cry Wolf and Lost in the Barrens were and continue to be staples. In his later years he was a passionate advocate for maintaining our wilderness and wildlife.

RIP, and thank you for your words that will live on forever.

“We’re under some gross misconception that we’re a good species, going somewhere important, and that at the last minute we’ll correct our errors and God will smile on us. It’s delusion.” ~ Farley Mowat

RIP. I grew up reading and re-reading "Never Cry Wolf", and have seen the movie many times with my son.
    Thank you, Farley Mowat.

This American enjoyed and valued his work, as well.
