A good start by the Russians, although it has to be said that they are most certainly not in the same league as Adelina Sotnikova and Elizaveta Tuktamysheva who were scoring 20 points higher last season. Of all the Russians competing in this seasons JGP, I think Julia Lipnitskaya has the greatest potential. She finished 4th in this years Russian Nationals, beating Ksenia Makarova into fifth place (Sotnikova 1st, Leonova 2nd, and Tuktamysheva 3rd - Shelepen and Agafonova finished 7th and 9th respectively). The following are Lipnitskaya's programs from the 2011 Russian Nationals:-
Julia Lipnitskaya - Short Program - Russian Nationals 2011
Julia Lipnitskaya - Free Skate - Russian Nationals 2011
