Going back further
1980 - Poetzsch - .... salmon?
1976 - Hammil - red
1972 - Schuba - navy (yale?) blue
1968 - Fleming - chartreuse
Can't find any color pictures (very quickly at least) of Dijkstra in 1964 or anything earlier
The only ladies gold at worlds in green (after Fleming if she wore the same costume at worlds that year) is I think Anett Poetzsch in 1978

Oh, in 1980 Lake Placid Poetzsch wore blue for her SP (where she was a little lucky to be fourth).
And Yamachuchi's SP costume was blue too.
The blue juggernaut rolls on.
Blue is one of the favorite color all over the World. Plus, it's way better on the ice than some other colors. I guess that's why we have so much blue costumes.

No love for yellow and green. I like green - has anyone ever won in that color?
Mafke mentioned Peggy Fleming ('68 Olympics) and Poetzsch ('78 Worlds) earlier upthread. Rosalynn Sumners won 1984 US Nats in a green dress; I have trouble deciding between blue, green, and blue-green in the case of the one she wore for the 1983 Worlds free skate.
Elena Glebova and Kiira Korpi are the only ones I can recall at the moment.

Red was the winner. Surprisingly, blue was not very popular this year... The only real green was som stripes in Leonova witch dress.
This is the program. I'd say it's more blue/mint green-ish than really green.
Irina Slutskaya won the 1999-2000 Grand Prix Final wearing a green dress (though there is a hint of blue in its shade). She wore a different dress at Worlds, however.
Kwan 2002, gala. Had the arrogance and nerve to remain on that music, wear a gold dress, and make a huge fake drama, what an ignorance!![]()
I don't get why you seem so offended by Michelle in 2002.![]()
Huge fake drama? I was never an uber (guess who my fave was in 2002) but I was moved to tears by Kwan's "Fields of Gold" gala performance. It came from her heart imo.
I couldn't find pictures but on video Dijkstra appears to have worn a green dress in '64 (well it looks kind of green to me the quality isn't the greatest):

It appears Tenley Albright wore pink (if the photo from this link is from the 1956 Olympics):

Um, the program was originally designed for the skating exhibition honoring the 61 World Team (it's a song of remembrance) which ended up honoring those lost during the 9/11 tragedy. She originally wore blue IIRC. So, she was supposed to drop her exhibition the day after the competition to tone down the "arrogance" in your opinion??? Ahh, the cult that hates Kwan and must insist that a gold dress and "gold song" was her arrogantly believing she had the OGM in the bag.![]()
"Once you've skated together long enough, and you're really good friends, you can close your eyes, put your hand out and she's right there." Joe Dolkiewicz, 2011 US Novice Pairs Bronze Medalist
Risa Shoji just won silver at JGP Brisbane wearing a green dress. She skated to "Legends of the Falls", so she gets two bonus points from me!
