Thanks so much, everyone. He's coming along pretty well, considering. He falls asleep a lot, but when he's awake he can feed himself and do therapy, and they're giving him three hours of it a day. He can sit up, and walk with help.

It sounds like he has the right kind of support to maximize his recovery.

Some of us went to see him today (going in shifts, so as not to overwhelm him or wear him out). He looked fairly good. Very sleepy, and unfortunately still in some pain, but able to sit up in his wheelchair and hold short conversations.
