one of my favorite songs which is also one of the most beautiful ones out there IMHO.

    Henry V : St Crispin's Day-The Battle of Agincourt

Love this piece of music and I nearly jumped for joy when I saw Kirstin Moore-Towers and Dylan Moscovitch's LP for this year for the first time. It's been far, far, far too long since someone's used this music.

I adore The Civil Wars, and one of the best things about being a fan of theirs is that they post links to music they like on their Facebook page. Now I'm listening to Matthew and the Atlas- Within the Rose. What a beautiful song and video.

Mark LaForme - All Souled Out. Mark has this great classic soul/r&b sound. His country songs even make me like country.

I've been listening to Edvarg Grieg, Antonin Dvorak and Rachmaninoff over and over and over all weekend - I have a 6-disc CD player and I just left them in and let them play Saturday and Sunday. Has anyone ever skated to Grieg or Dvorak? I'm sure I probably asked this already.

Kwan and Kostner have skated to the last movement of Dvorak's Dumky Trio. Caroline Zhang's FS for the past two seasons has been to the Cello Concerto.

Gordeeva skated to "Morning" from Peer Gynt as a professional IIRC. Tuktamysheva's short program during the 2009-10 season was to a different selection from the same work. Both Oda and Ando skated to Grieg's Piano Concerto for their respective free skates during the 2010-11 season.

Eys, but no New World Symphony?

According to Skate Music List, that was the music for Zagorska and Siudek's 1999-2000 free skate. The Chinese team of Ding and Ren skated to it during the 2004-5 season.

My absolute favorite performance to Grieg is Fleur Maxwell's 2011 Euros LP. For me, the quintessential OES performance: can't jump for sh*t, impressive spins, voidy step sequence, epic closing pose.

Bassist from Yes had this song, thought it was incomplete, talked it over with his music arranger who suggested "What if we gave it an extended outro?". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AztxoJEF6Fw

I'm listening to a compilation of lute pieces by John Johnson that my husband recorded.

I'm digging the CD out now---I love it too but have not listened to it in so long. Beautiful.
