Shock, for real! I saw a headline this morning and fully expected it to later be pulled back/revealed to be a false "leak".

More proof that we, the public, never really know from "appearances". Too bad. Hopefully, they'll either work things out or end up with an alternatively intact family structure, ala Bruce Willis & Demi Moore.

A lot of times I can't stand him. But for me, I think it's a case of total overkill. There was a time when there was just way too much Will Smith in my face at all times. I don't think it's a genuine hate.

I never drank the Kool-aid myself...always found him to be smarmy and phony. Plus I've met people he grew up with and some don't like him either. ITA w/Badams about the overexposure thing too.

Do we believe In Touch? Isn't that one of the magazines that has "reported" Brad and Angelina's breakup, Brad getting back together with Jennifer, Jennifer having his baby, etc?

On a related note, they're on the cover of Architectural Digest this month.

Actually pretty much all those outlets are quoting In Touch - so not confirmed.

Mind you where there's smoke there's fire, but it certainly wouldn't be the first time the tabloids got a story wrong.

From that Architectural Digest cover story, there are some rather ironic quotes:

For their family’s highly personal retreat in California, the stars called on Stephen Samuelson to design an adobe-style residence full of intimate spaces...

“For Will and me this home was always a spiritual endeavor,” Jada says.

I'm guessing those intimate spaces won't be getting a whole lot of use these days ... and the spiritual endeavor seems to have taken them along separate paths.

They've always had an interesting marriage though. Don't they have an open marriage or was that just a rumor?

Anyway, I'm not shocked, OTOH they've been together 13 years so it's not like they had a fly-by-night marriage either. I guess I'm more neutral.

Whether it is now or later, they are bound to split. I've noticed a definitive trend with Hollywood couples: the more they crow about their fantastic marriages, the more likely they are to divorce. Jada likes to talk about her superior marriage in interviews, so it is coming!

But haven't they always denied being Scientologists? I know they are among the friends that Scientologists like Tom Cruise and John Travolta always seem to be hanging around with, and that their kids go to some sort of Scientology-affiliated school. Nevertheless I thought they had both stated that they weren't formally members of the "church".
