It's quickly become one of my watch if I'm in front of the tv but no biggie if I miss it shows. And in other DVR-freeing news ... I tried watching 2 Broke Girls again last night. The slight promise I detected in the 1st episode was completely gone. Nothin' but stereotypes and bad dialogue. So there's another one I can cross off my list now.
However, I'm keeping an eye out for changes after the first 6 eps or so. I get the feeling the network is behind this one and will want to make it work, so there could be some adjustments coming up based on early feedback.
The supporting characters and actors have been terrible from ep one for starters - the boyfriend seems to be gone and perhaps Max's city employer was a one shot, but they should still rethink the cook and Garret Morris.
We've talked about the canned sound of the laughter, so hopefully that will be fixed; the punctuations in the soundtrack are also rather heavy IMO.
What may only come with time is comic timing - the actress who plays Max is particularly in need of improvement IMO, and the chemistry between the two is not quite there yet.
