I actually though it would have been funnier if he hadn't found it necessary to explain all the puns, but still worth a giggle.

Depardieu explains plane pee story

Now the French actor has appeared on American newscaster Anderson Cooper’s show to tell his side of the story.

Depardieu laughed as he described the situation, and told Cooper that wine was not involved, despite reports.

However, beer, whiskey, gin etc probably were.

"The bottle was too small, you know. I am an elephant... I said: 'Don't worry, I will clean it up."
