    Here she is.
Kim Hae-Jin, JGP Brisbane 2011 Junior Ladies SP

Hae-Jin has level of maturity far beyond her age. I don't think she is the best junior lady yet, but she is only going to improve barring injuries.

Impressive comeback for Hae-Jin after the terrible ankle injury she had in a collision a year ago. She’s gutsy and has a mature and wholesome attitude, and hopefully those qualities would take her far.

About the planned practice rink in Seoul, I can see that one can’t help being skeptical after all those promises and premature PR cases, but this time the news article sounds to me pretty detailed. I’m still hopeful that it gets a go-ahead, better sooner than later.

And she dropped to 5th after the free. Still pretty impressive for a girl's who only other JGP finish was 28th.

She has nice potentials, but has much to work on as well.
Her technique on toe jumps is unorthodox to put it mildely, and she has to stop attempting 3Lo combinations that she won't land cleanly. I'm sure she has gained valuable experience today.

I don't know. You will never get there until you go out and try the jumps in competition.

I really don't buy little girls doing 3Loops as a 2nd jump of a combination. It might be a crafty way of picking up a free point or two exploiting loop hole provided by rule changes in IJS, but almost none of them will keep the jump when their bodies mature, and some might even end up getting hip replacements before they reach age of 20.

If 3loops as a 2nd part of a combination is such an effective means of competition, why aren't the senior men doing them often as junior girls are?

If I were Hae Jin, I'd work on 3T as a 2nd jump.
She is a junior. She can afford to forego a point or two now in return for building a better basis for years to come.

here's to update after korean nationals that occurred 3 days ago.

this youtube channel has a lot of the videos from the competition
    http://www.youtube.com/user/Nyah823

    Senior Men final standings:
    Kim Jin-seo: 186.34
    Lee Jun-hyoung: 180.83
    Kim Min-seok: 165.79

    Senior Ladies final standings:
    Kim Hae-jin 167.74
    Park So-youn 144.59
    Choi Da-bin 141.46
    Byun Ji-hyun 132.59
    Lee Ho-jeong 130.72
    Kwak Min-jung 123.44
    Choi Hui 122.39

If someone who knows Korean would kindly translate this article about Kwan Min Jeong please: http://gall.dcinside.com/list.php?id...409&page=1&bbs

from what my little understanding of Korean, Kwak Min Jeong is still competing despite her back and thigh injury. She is the only competitor in the ladies competition age eligible for senior ISU championships (I think) and most likely to be Korea's only ladies entry to 4CC and worlds.

    Other information from the competition:
Kwak Min Jeong changed her Can-Can LP debuted at the Asian Figure Skating Trophy back to her LP from last season (Caprice Bohemian by Rachmoninoff). She is also struggling with her beautiful Bielmann spin because of her back injury, but her edges have improved and still has a very deep edge into her lutzes and flips.
Kim Hae Jin will represent Korea at this year's junior worlds.
Park So Yeon will represent Korea at YOG (not confirmed, rumored)

I don't know about Lee Dong Won not competing at nationals.

Min Jeong says she injured her back while training in Canada after the Olympics and she never really recovered from the injury. She can’t do biellmann spins anymore. She also suffered from thigh muscle rupture last spring. She thought of quitting, but with Yuna not competing and most Korean ladies too young for senior comps, she realized she needed to be strong and stay at least for this season.

A Korean Ice dancing team appears at a music video clip

There were a tryout for new ice dancing team last November.
The goal of tryout is to select and support skaters who have potential as a icedancer to compete in PyeongChang Olympics in 2018.
(Since 2006, there has no ice dancing competition in S.Korea Nationals.)

Five couples are selected for ice dancing teams.

One of them is Claudia Muller and Won-il Jang.
Especially, Cludia Muller is well known to S.Korean figure skating fans, because she appeared at TV reality show, "Yuna Kim's Kiss and Cry," a Korean version of "Battle of the Blades."

Although her father is Swiss and her mother is Korean,
She chose S.Korean citizenship to represent S.Korea giving up her Swiss citizenship.

Muller and Jang participated in each single competition at 2012 Korean Nationals but will compete as a icedancing team from next season.

Muller took 4th place from 29 competitors (total score 113.33) in Junior Ladies,
while Jang took 2nd place from 6 competitors in Novice Men.

They appear together at the music video clip.
You can find them from 3:06 to 5:26
