I wonder, why is it then listed on the ISU page as cancelled? Am I looking at the wrong page?

No, what was cancelled was the Senior B event, which was suppose to held in connection with the "normal" Thornhill Summer Skate event that takes place every year.

I don't know for sure but it wasn't last year. afaik, any skating on Canadian websites is only blocked when prevented by agreements with ISU for international events. Of course that may apply to portions of Thornhill this year??

Any agreement the ISU had with Thornhill is null, because the "Senior B" portion of the competition was canceled.
It wasn't geoblocked for me in the USA last year, so here's to hoping the same happens this year!

There's a new article here outlining their planned coverage for this season. Only events taking place in Canada are listed. I wonder if they're still in negotiations regarding the other Grand Prix events.
