TICKETS GO ON-SALE MONDAY, AUGUST 1 AT 10AM

Aretha Franklin, will perform numbers from her new hit album “A Woman Falling Out of Love” live in a one-night only spectacular complete with Olympic and world-class figure skaters and top-of-the-line fashion designers to kick off the 2011-2012 Pandora NBC Skating Series with Fashion on Ice. Franklin with close the show with her all-time greatest hit “Respect.”


Skaters confirmed as appearing include Johnny Weir, Jeremy Abbott, Sarah Hughes, Meryl Davis and Charlie White, Joannie Rochette, Sasha Cohen, Ryan Bradley, Alissa Czisny, and Mary Beth Marley and Rockne Brubaker.

I know this is very late, but does anyone have insider info into this? I am going tonight, and I wonder if anyone can give me a tip on how to get a picture with some skaters (or Aretha!) before or afterwards. Also, to take good pictures on my digital camera, are there any suggestions? I have only been to two skating events in my whole life, so I don't know the secrets to making it a great experience.

Loved Meryl's dress by Betsey Johnson!! And watching Betsey Johnson react to the skating was a highlight. She's adorable and got really into it.

The G. Mendel clothes were absolutely perfect for skating. Won't be surprised if we end up seeing skating dresses by him, should he be interested...

Show was lots of fun. It's my first show in a long time, and I'm really glad I went. Thinking about making the trek to South Bend for Brian Boitano's show.

Thank you for the pictures, shameless! It's so hard to wait for months for an event to air that already happened. Yes, blurry pictures are always better than no pictures! Although I think your pictures came out quite nicely considering how hard it is to take pics of ice skating. I am over Meryl's hair in that 1st picture.
