Nancy Grace would be the stupid one to give her $$$$$$ for an interview. She's probably making up more lies as we speak. They may both be vain enough to think they can crack the other one. I don't know why I can't let this case die, but keep getting sucked in. Please no one watch or buy anything to support her.
Cheney Mason admits to being surprised by verdict:

There is a solution to all the Nancy Grace bashing.....just don't watch!
Cheney Mason's remarks are not surprising. He also said he wouldn't let CA babysit his kids. Smart move on his part, don't you think? And if he "Knew" since day one the Caylee drowned, why didn't they discuss that with the police and States Attorney? They could have saved us a ton of money! Casey was asked several times by police if Caylee drowned and she denied it. Now she wants to appeal her convictions of lying to police and she wants Floridians to pay for her defense once again. Geez!
From the article:
I call bull-effing-shyte on that comment. "HUNDREDS" of job and housing offers?? HUNDREDS of people willing to give her a job (which she has no experience to do anything .. but lying it seems) and give her free housing??? HUNDREDS of people??? I guess her lawyers lie just as much as she does because there is no way in hell I believe HUNDREDS of people are just begging to have her come work for their company (and take the bad press that will come with it) or give her a free house. Her lawyers won't reveal where she went or who is funding her new life on the outside, but say the 25-year-old Anthony is safe and has received hundreds of job and housing offers.
I don't think she would dare show up on Nancy Grace because for one, HLN will not pay her a million bucks, or even one buck. If she's so innocent, why she need to talk for money anyway? And second reason is Casey does not have the guts to go up against NG. Say what you will about NG, but NG would eat her alive .... and actually I would love to see that happen. So I kinda hope the rumor is true.
The Octo-mom was offered $$$ to do an adult video. I wouldn't be surprised if the same type of offer had been extended to CA. Regarding the point about CA doesn't have "experience to do anything", one doesn't need experience to work at WalMart, CVS, on a farm, etc. Of course I agree that most people would be afraid to hire her.
What will going against a big bully like NG prove, except that it'll undoubtedly provide WWF-like entertainment for millions? Once she determined that you're guilty, there's no point trying to debate her, because she won't open her mind to any other possibilities; She will literally bullied her way through the "interview" with what she believes is her truth. NG needs to be pitted against some tough-as-nail chick who won't take any of her B.S.And second reason is Casey does not have the guts to go up against NG. Say what you will about NG, but NG would eat her alive ....

Casey Anthony has been ordered back to FL to serve out a years probation for stealing and using checks.

I feel like they are just sticking it to her. I don't like the woman, I think she killed her child, but she was ACQUITTED! Why in the world wasn't this probation considered served while she spent all that time in jail IN FLORIDA?! It makes no sense to me. I guess they can say her jail time was for the charges she was convicted of but they can't fool me. She would have never been asked to serve all that time in jail if the trial happened right away with the same outcome. They just went with time served so they didn't look like they made an "innocent" person serve 3 years in prison for no reason.

Brian - would it be possible for her to violate parole if she is in jail? I think that is the reason to bring her back for probation. She needs to prove that when free she would not violate parole.
Today, there was a small article saying that Casey is the "Most Hated Person In America" based on some totally unscientific onlne survey, lol.
I wonder if the judge just wants to get her back where they can find her, so she can be served with additional papers or arrested on new charges?
There was a major child porn ring broken up a few weeks ago - perhaps they found some images of a child resembling Caylee?

BigB - The trial for the theft and forgery of checks was a completely separate legal action from the trial for the death of Caylee and lying to investigators. The check theft trial took place IIRC about six months before the murder trial began. CA was found guilty of those misdemeanor charges and was sentenced to one year probation (essentially yes, monitored and supervised non-jail time). The sentence of probation still stands and she must still legally serve it.
The conviction of lying to police investigators (part of the murder trial process) was what led to her being sentenced to four years prison time, though it was recalculated to reflect reduced time and thus could be written off as time served before and during the murder trial. This time served release has nothing to do with the previous probation sentence.
They want her to reside in Florida for the a year while she serves her probation outside of prison, right? That makes sense - how else can Florida probation officers ensure that she's complying with the terms of her release? She has to report in regularly and be available for unannounced visits. That can't be done if she's living out of state.
Since they mentioned keeping her address secret, I don't think the courts mean for her to spend her probation time in prison.
I understand the difference in her check stealing probation and her time served for lying to investigators. I just think she should have had her probation considered served as she was in jail for more than a year after the probation was handed down. I don't see why it can't be considered served if she had good behavior in jail. You can still get in trouble in jail. If they don't allow that then I get it, I just didn't know it HAD to be done outside of jail.

I'm not sure I completely understand the sequence of events, but AFAIK the two charges are considered completely independent of each other, and the sentences are independent of each other too. So she can't have been considered to have served her probation in prison if she was put in jail on a different charge. I don't think the jail time can be double counted (so to speak) unless she was convicted and sentenced on both charges at the same time.
