Doris, i think you talking about different story. If your skaters are so good like Chan, T-S why you could say this on TV?

But i respect canadians commentators because they could say something really great about canadian skaters, but never start talking bad things about there main competitors, like Judy Blumberg did at WCh.
And i respect how Tracy Wilson said good things about Lisa Tuktamisheva, who won SC, not like Frank Carrol who said some ununderstanding things to mee.
But if i were canadian - i support T-S, not M-C. I thinks its OK

I'm sorry but RDS is a very small french canadian channel and figure skating is not a big thing there.

So it's not like he was working on CBC or CTV... But if some people prefer to belive that he's not sincere because he's canadian then so be it..

It's kind of a running joke anyway in here...

Tracy Wilson also says good things about D&W when she commentates whether it's on US or Canadian TV, unlike Blumberg who is so biased towards D&W it's ridiculous.

I'm actually surprised the ISU has her as a Tech Caller at events when she is so obviously bias towards D&W.

I think Dostatni had a lot off problems after 2007 WCh

But maybe now Judy will work good and show all her power at WCh?

I think canadian technical specialist, who work at OG and at Fin Throhy never support canadian skaters - she just made her work thats all

I used to like Toller's commentary very much (I lived in VT at the time, and if I turned the antenna just the right way, I could watch skating on CBC & CTV). I resented SC being that heavy handed with enforcing political correctness on Canadian commentators, and especially on my very all time favorite male skater & commentator, Toller. It has made me think that no action is too small for SC to squash negative critique of their skaters

I'm sure Patrice loves V&M's programs--V&M are great dancers--but given SC's propensities, supposing that he was talking about, say, Harvey & Gagnon's fairly foul Stones FD, he might feel he had to admire that too, so indeed, I don't believe the Opinion part of any commentators when talking about their country's strongest team or their country's strongest team's closest rival. Including Judy Blumberg.

On the facts & Rules, now, that's a different thing.

It was interesting to see how even the British Eurosport guys would hate on the team immediately behind or immediately ahead of the Kerrs at Worlds or Euros any given year, despite how much they might have admired that team the previous year or the next year. Faiella & Scali, case in point.

You can't seriously compare Toller Cranston being fired because they felt he was belittling Canadian skaters on a Canadian station to other commentators being encouraged to find positive things to say about the home team.

Apples and oranges. I find Tollers brutal honesty amusing but I can certainly understand from a business perspective not enjoying the complaints his comments might get from me from the viewing public. I want people to watch my station.

But you know, British Eurosport commentators really love this H-G FD

And i dont think its bad thing if Luazon love this FD and that at least he saw that this isnt only skating - this is reall dancing

I would really like to see the program skated in that outfit at some point.

And Scott will skate in this hat - i love it
