I really enjoy Chef Anne's food, but her personality can be a little grating for me at times. Just..stop talking to the food in funny voices, please. Agh.
And I agree on the Giada consensus. When her new show premiered, she became way more annoying and her food became really pedestrian and boring. Plus the music they use is AWFUL. It's either cheesy porno music or "By chopping this parsley, Giada is actually curing cancer."

Chef Anne can get annoying but I think I got used to it. She is always making beautiful things happen. I do find myself amazed at the salt she adds, sometimes.

    Giada has gotten so repetitive.
Anne's Tony the Tiger growls are as grating as Gina Neely's speaking voice. And do she and Guy Fieri share the same hair stylist ?
I think Tyler's show got canceled or something - all they show are reruns now.
Anthony Bourdain is no longer doing his travel/food show; at least not in the same format.
I am a big Chuck Hughes convert, and I'll always lurve Nigella - she never gets boring.

I don't have cable anymore so I'm out of the FN loop. I was at my brother's house and my SIL were watching FN together when "Cooking for Real" w/ Sunny somebody came on. Who is this chick and why is she trying to look and sound like Rachael Ray?????

I love Nigella!!! Does she still have a show on?

^ yes, Nigella Express, it is on The Cooking Channel rather than Food Network. On my cable it is the next channel down. I could listen to her read the phone book and it would still be sexy!

^^ITA. How can you not love Nigella?
I have to get my Sandy hate fix somehow, so I found this clip on youtube and after watching it, felt like barfing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ExE7m...eature=related

Canned pineapple juice and beefy onion soup mix in your burger. MMMMMMMMM. I love how she tries to explain some of her measurements as if she actually knows what she's doing.

I like Sunny because she makes food that I actually would make myself and I have made a few of the things I have seen on her show. I feel like she actually relates to real everyday people who don't have a ton of cooking skills or a pantry full of spices (which is my problem with Rachel Ray!).

Oh but she's just so damn sexy. I never get tired of how she describes food.

I actually find Sunny to be pretty enjoyable, and her food looks fairly solid. I've never tried any of her recipes but they usually look tasty. I find her to be the less grating version of Rachael Ray.
Speaking of Rachael Ray, my sister and I got a kick out of her roasted chocolate stuffed strawberries. When they came out of the oven, the strawberries were sagging and the chocolate had separated, so it looked the strawberries were taking a bad crap on the pan. Not one of her better ideas.

I love Sunny. If I saw Nigella on the street corner, I would not cross the street in front of her I would wait till she walked past me, then I would run across, zig-zagging James Bond style in a not-suspicious at all way, come up behind her, coldcock her, drag her to my supersekret suburban kitchen lair and make her cook for me. And talk sexy talk about peppers and salmon.

My favorite chefs are Alex Guernaschelli (also a sexy beast when she talks about food ), Anne Burrell (for the recipes, not for her schizophrenic food talk), Tyler Florence, and the woman who does Bitchin' Kitchen. She is my IDOL. I want her wardrobe. She can keep her entourage.

I snarked about Giada in the Food TV Star--blergh. I think her bobblehead bobbled too hard one day and knocked all her culinary sense out of her head. Her food is bland, and they teach that grin of hers at Serial Killer School. At least Sandy is unwittingly entertaining.

Some of those fellas in Nadia G's posse are kinda hot, but I find the show silly in concept. I find Alex immensely talented. And she refuses to be dumbed down by FN.

I tried to watch Bitchin Kitchen and just couldn't. My BF hated her as well but then was converted so I think she just takes a little time to grow but I haven't given her the chance yet.

Bitchin' Kitchen was alarming to me at first as well but now I kind of love her and would love to go hang out with her. I think it does grow on you once your eyes adjust to the neon colors and the of the show starts to be awesome.

I can't watch BK either. It is annoying (her voice leaves me ) and not funny, although clearly she is trying reeeaaalllly hard to be funny.

I watched BK once and I thought her food looked good, but her supporting cast was funnier than her.
So far my fav cooking channel shows are Chucks Day Off, the Jamie Oliver one, Nigella, and sometimes the Laura Calder one. The only one I really can't stand is Roger Mooking. I see he's getting a new FN show with Aaron Sanchez, another chef I can't stand watching. What a pairing of douchebags that'll be. Okay, maybe they're not douchebags in person, but they come off as douchey on camera.

I havent minded Roger Mooking when I watched his show but that god awful theme song makes me change the channel every time. Aaron Sanchez bothers me but I pretty much detest every judge on Chopped. I think they are all complete assholes although that is probably the Producers decision. It is like every.single.one of them has decided to be the Simon Cowell of food judging.
