    US Figure Skating just announced that Grand Prix Athlete selection notification will appear tomorrow morning (10 AM EST) on Ice Network

    I got an email directly from USFSA, so I would hope that the announcement would come today.

    The exact wording of USFS' email mail blast is:

    "Selections for the 2011 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series, including Skate America, will be made in Pairis on Sat., June 25, at approximately 10 a.m. EDT. Look for the official slate of athletes by visiting www.icenetwork.com on Saturday morning."

    Of course it's possible that the GP assignments could be published on the ISU site first, like they have been in the past.

    If I'm remembering correctly, the same thing happened last year, with the ISU finally posting the selections at 3:00am est on that following Sunday morning. I guess their web person doesn't get paid to work weekends .

    It would be nice if they at least released details surrounding the selection criteria, that way we'd at least know which skaters were even on the list.

    Is there any chance they could still be hammering that out and that's why there's a delay? Really hoping they don't slash the fields.
