I'm kinda of torn halfway between "cute" and "what a self-satisfied ass, I really should hold true to my pledge to only watch him when he's skating his programs".

From the look of surprise on his face, someone obviously snuck up on him to shoot the video. He was tapping along to a video - I really don't see how any of this makes him a "self-satisfied ass".

Is there any precise and confirmed entry list?
The homepage is in japanese, i can´t find anything; just the pictures of a few skaters, but does that mean, they will participate? if yes, because then miki will be there

Yes, she will. The pics of the skaters you can see is the confirmed entry list.

    Please. It's very obviously staged.

"Look at how cool and funny I am" kinda video.

Which isn't necessarily bad. I like to mess around and I like attention too. But in the context of how Chan is like...

    Talk about Asss
There is nothing more captivating in this world than a woman's form gracing the ice in skating boots. It's simply sensational!

Sarah won't be able to skate the competition. With the intense training in the past few weeks, her foot injury has started to bother her again immensely. She travelled to Japan yesterday cause she was hoping it would work somehow but it doesn't. Lisa will skate the competition instead and Sarah will participate in the gala.

it's very unfortunate for Sarah. I wanted to see her skate again. she has a such a serene sense on the ice.

another comment i have is that the european team is as russian as the north american team is canadian

but, this is big news for Liza though. IMO Japan Open is very prestigious, and she got to go as her first year senior

on a side note, i wonder why no one's made a wikipedia page for the japan open yet
