He made a great song even better. I'm listening to "Freeway Of Love" right now. You can hear a Clarence solo twenty seconds in.
It's official. I am madly in love with Meryl Davis.

I was hoping against hope that he'd pull through. How sad.

RIP, good man. Besides the enormous presence in years of Springsteen songs, I'll always remember CC in the "You're a Friend of Mine" video with Jackson Browne, and many other videos in the 80s. And as Bruce's bud in this classic record cover

Gonna be sweet n' sad to hear the "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" Bruce/Clarence banter, this Christmas season.

I can't believe it. I was so sure he would recover. When you listen to their music, and see them in concert so many times, you think they will live forever.

    RIP, Big Man.

Will never listen to 10th Avenue Freeze Out without thinking of the big man who joined the band. RIP Clarence.

I've been fortunate enough to see Bruce and the E Street Band in concert. Amazing show, and you could tell how tight the band was and what good friends they were.

We've lost an incredible musician, whose sax brought Bruce's dark scenes to life and was versatile enough to play on everything from Blues to Gaga.

Hope he's up there wailing away on his sax with Danny Federici on the keys.

If you believe in the afterlife, you gotta want to be at tomorrow morning's services there with the Big Man wailing away on the sax - heavenly music indeed.

This is sad news indeed. His playing in "Born to Run" made that song, imo.

Very sad news. I feel very lucky to have gotten to see Bruce and E. Street in concern back in the days of the 4 hour shows, and Clarence was a HUGE part of those shows. RIP Big Guy, your talent will be missed but forever remembered.
