Russian Federation banned their coaches, making use of state resources, from coaching foreign skaters
An exception has been made for Morozov, as he is very much wanted by the federation.
He's going to continue coaching Ando and will be allowed to work with other skaters as a consultant.
Cappellini/LaNotte will spend half of the month with him and half in Italy. Amodio is going to split his time between France (Annick Dumont) and Moscow, after spending a month in US with Zakrajsek.
Team Event added to Olympics
A positive development coming from that: JSF is starting a Pairs/Dance program.

Changes to Grand Prix format

Top 6 at Worlds allowed to do 3 events. Number of spots reduced to 10 for Singles and 8 for Ice Dance. A minimum score (2/3 of top previous season score) is introduced (although Peter Krick has now talked about scrapping that).
Krasnopolski imprisoned for desertion
A court sent him to prison for 15 days (don't worry, as Tahbka said army prisons are more like summer camps) for desertion.
Israeli Fed claimed they agreed with the Army about postponing his service till after Worlds. The Army claimed they didn't agree to such thing.
Cyprus, Grenada and Morocco made provisional ISU members
Third tier NA skaters celebrate.
