His LP at the worlds and this move Tom Z makes me worry for his general well being.

    Oh good gods, why!?

What the hell could TZ possibly offer him? He's not a jump doctor or anything like that and he's crap at packaging students.

This is possibly the most baffling move of the offseason so far.

I refuse to believe this until it is confirmed by like 10 sources. What a terrible, terrible idea.

Tom Zzzzzz... the only person who came away from these past World Championships looking like a more self-absorbed ass than Amodio himself.

Well, as long as Tom Z doesn't choreograph programs like that travesty of a long program Amodio had this past season.

I think Jeffrey Buttle has been working on choreo for some of Tom Z's skaters? Because the possibility of Amodio working with Buttle is kind of intriguing.

Are actually Cappellini and Lanotte still training with Morozov? Or already gone as well?

They stay, but Morozov isn't the only coach of C/L, AFAIK they spend about 2 weeks a month with him and other 2 weeks in Italy

He's only there for a month and then he'll spend one month at Courchevel with Annick, then he'll be back to Morozov.

I guess I won't say much until it's been confirmed exactly what he's doing, but this is surprising anyway.

I have to ask the same question...pretty weird off season with the coaching changes, Russia getting all selfish with their coaches, the unexpected breakups, etc.

Can't wait for the season to start so we can see where all these off season chips fall.

You did see Amodio's long program at worlds, didn't you? Anything would be better than continuing with that kind of garbage.

thanx that makes more sense than a coaching change.

Tom Z, Annick, Morozov: This little tour is supposed to help Amodio?

In all seriousness, I can't imagine what Tom Z. has to offer Amodio, even on a short-term basis.

Maybe Amodio is trying to balance OTT with boring?

    Altitude training for endurance?

Well, the only logical explanation would be that he is working on the quad with Tom Z.

So much for Amodio's flair. Now he can become a BGS - Boring Generic Skater.

Maybe it was the suggestion of someone affiliated with one of his French rivals?
