    Skatin' Country

I caught Stars on Ice presents Skatin' Country on one of my local stations today. It seems to be making the syndicated rounds of local stations in several cities. Looks like it was on in New York this afternoon.

    Stars - Robert Wagonhoffer,
Kim & Wayne Seybold, Lori Benton,
    Scott Williams, Charlene Wong,
    Julie Brault, Angelo D'agostino,
    April & John Thomas.

It's on a very small rink like a Vegas show rink. It was originally made in 2001.

    Is anyone watching it?

Robert Wagenhoffer died in 1999; so this program dates from earlier than that,
He appeared in several small ice/theatre shows such as this,
He probably was the director/choreography, as well.

    Did you record it?

Interesting. This program definitely has a 2001 date on it. Maybe that was the first time it was broadcast.

    Yes, I did record it.

Wow, these were a lot of my favorite 'tier 2' skaters from the late-1980s. Thanks for the heads-up!

I'm guessing ca 1989, by the featured titles in the line up, e.g., April Sargeant-Thomas still skating with husband John before partnering with Russ Witherby after 1990...and the Seybolds already having gone to the Olympics in 1988. So it must have been filmed sometime between 1988 and 1990.
