Wow - no wonder David Santee looked so happy last week.
Oh, that's wonderful. I hope it works out for her. Go Agnes!
Interesting.
Didn't see this one coming, although I suspect it would make just about the entire forum happy if the other thread was any indication.
This makes me very happy. I hope it is a good move for her.
If you want to be creative, get out there and do it. It's not a waste of time" - Michael Giacchino, UP
Well you can't deny the success she had under Tom Z, but I'm glad she made the switch.
The same press release is up on the USFS site now: http://www.usfsa.org/Story.asp?id=46208&type=media
So it sounds like Santee, who's still based in the Chicago area, will travel with Zawadzki to her competitions if Krall is unavailable. I believe Joshua Farris has a similar arrangement -- training with Krall and Damon Allen in Colorado Springs and Allen being his travel coach as needed."Agnes and I have always had great chemistry," [David] Santee said. "I'm happy she has chosen to continue her career with me."
Christy Krall will assist Santee with day-to-day training while Zawadzki trains in Colorado Springs.
Go Agnes!

Why would she list her main coach as David Santee if she's going to spend most of her time training with Krall in Colorado Springs?
I'm thrilled to hear she's left Tom Z, though!
If that is the case, wouldn't it have been more accurate to say that Zawadzki was switching to Christy Krall with assistance from her old coach David Santee?
I think the arrangement works for Joshua Farris because both of his coaches are based in Colorado Springs, but with David Santee still in Chicago I have to think he will be more than just a travel coach as needed.
I was thinking Zawadzki was moving back to Chicago and keeping Krall as a technical specialist who she will see off and on in Colorado Springs for help throughout the season?
I'll look forward to seeing her progress.
I like Agnes, so I hope this change is a successful one for her!![]()

I probably shouldn't have typed "travel coach as needed" for David Santee as the USFS press release does state that he will be Zawadzki's primary coach. It sounds like a rather unusual arrangement, with Zawadzki staying in Colorado Springs, so it'll be interesting to see how it works out for her this season.
Awesome! I think this will be really good for her.
There is a God!!!
Good for Agnes! The girl has so much talent, here's hoping her packaging improves with this coaching change.
Now that Agnes is all settles,Free Brandon!

Another one bites the dust...
I'm super-happy Agnes is getting from under him. Geez, who does Tom Z. have left? Farris is gone, Rachael is gone, Agnes is gone, Alexe is gone...who's left?
Kinda seems like the crew is abandoning the ship...do the skaters know something we don't know?![]()
I don't know why she left Santee in the first place, but very happy to hear she is returning to him and Christy Krall who now seems to be just about the hottest ticket in coaching right now and deservedly so! Hopefully now she'll get better programs and some speeeeeed which should see her PCS move up a few notches.
Inspiring Mirai Nagasu!
