What an underwhelming finale. After such a promising group of singers at the outset of the season, it ended up very boring. I think Scotty still has the strongest fanbase, but I did think Lauren did a decent job last night though her voice was obviously not 100%. Well, hopefully tonight's show will have some fun surprise guests like they usually do.

I think Ryan helped Lauren down the stairs because her dress was so long and he looked worried that she would trip.

This is part of the reason I think it was so boring - with all the tongue baths these kids got all season from the judges, why would they feel the need to challenge themselves? Thus, no true "in it to win it" moments that normally occur in the Top 2 performances.
Give me one more quiet night, before this loud morning gets it right, and does me in.

I agree with you completely. I do think one reason, IMO, that Haley improved over the course of the season was that she did get criticism from the judges. Granted, I think it was lame criticism, but I do think it helped her, even if just from the standpoint of pissing her off and using that in her performance. Lauren and Scotty got tongue baths the whole season so, as you say, there was never any incentive to push themselves, resulting in two contestants who looked and sounded bored with the whole thing by the end of the season.

Yeah I agree the finale was boring. Very anticlimactic.

Then you'd have loved the one Lauren wore last night. And it was sparkly.

I hate not being able to watch TV and post at the same time : .

Ever since the all-digital upgrade, if I want to move a TV into the office, I have to move the stupid tuner box as well, reconnect everything, and then wait for the box to reset itself and download all the info. It's just not worth the trouble.

    Sigh…….

I didn't like Judas Priest when they were not having to use viagra. Oh. What a surprise, they're promoting a farewell tour.

I love Priest. One of the highlights of my life was seeing them play in London. Nothing like a metal crowd in London.

Do you think Randy realizes what a freakin' tool he sounds like when he repeats that damn phrase?

Oh, Jacob's on. Time to go do the dishes.

Tsk. Tsk. If he'd sung with Ian Anderson (couldn't have sung with all of Yes since some are dead ), or ELP or King Crimson, it would have been impressive.
