Are there enough videos or photos to start a separate thread in GSD for the Prince Ice World shows?

I am not sure. PIW allows the audience to take photos at the end,
so quite a number of photos have been tweeted.
But since they are personal photos taken individually,
you need to ask the person to see if it is OK to post each time...

(I figure a separate thread can be started for this show as the time draws nearer.)
    I agree with that.

What a great cast! It looks like it'll be a lot of fun. I'm so happy the Shibs are going to be there--knowing them we'll get a lot of hilarious tweets and photos!

I had a good laugh seeing Jeremy and Javier side-by-side in their suspenders on the cast page.

Is it just me or is Suzuki not as popular as the other Japanese skaters? I don't see her featuring in a lot of ice shows at all compared to Asada, Ando or even Murakami, even though she medalled at Worlds and won the WTT for the ladies.

Suzuki has been performing at Price Ice World since April 28th, and May 13th is her last show. It's just that she was not picked up in TV news. She will be in the US to make new programs for next season later this month. She is scheduled to perform at Dreams on Ice in mid June. Although there is no announcement yet, it's likely that she will be in Arakawa's Friends on Ice. I remember she was in Fantasies on Ice last year.

I don't know if she's really not as popular as Asada, Ando or Murakami among Japanese skating fans. Japanese major media organizations still mostly ignore her even after she won a World Bronze as if they are determined. She is more appreciated overseas than in Japan.

Probably this poll shows who is popular in Japan.

The poll was closed March 28, before the Worlds.

Yahoo! Japan is one of the media organizations determined to ignore Suzuki. It has Asada, Ando, Takahashi, Kozuka, Murakami, and Hanyu's page respectively in the news section, buy not Suzuki's even after she won Bronze.

Akiko is probably popular in Japan but from what I hear Mao, Miki, and Daisuke are like superstars there, and probably now Kanako and Yuzuru as well, so idk if it's that big of a deal, at least for the first three, they've been at the top of the sport for a long time, which isn't true for Akiko.

Is Mao's rating still high after this year's results?

Yes. She's been around for so long, she's beloved in Japan, and she's pretty and sweet. All good for advertisements.

I remember her saying somewhere (don't have a link) that she actually didn't mind, and preferred not being as popular as Mao and Miki.

    Do you mean this article?

Ando has been a popular subject for Japanese tabloids especially for her relationship with men (e.g. Morozov), and Asada seems to have little privacy either. I don't think Suzuki envies them at least in that aspect.

    More Akiko Suzuki news...
Her latest blog, titled "Big Surprise," mentions a reception last week held in her honor by her co-workers (what kind of company does she work at?) with a surprise guest appearance: http://ameblo.jp/suzuki-akko/entry-11244954421.html

Detroit Skating Club ( ‏@dscclub ) tweeted today:
Currently, three of the top four Japanese ladies, Akiko Suzuki, Kanako Murakami, and Haruka Imai, are training here at DSC.

Top Japanese Mens skater Takahiko Kozuka (2012 World competitor ranked 2nd in Japan) is also here at DSC working with Yuka Sato.
